Prof.Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam
Biography
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam is the Director of the Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE) and a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
He obtained his PhD from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2001. His research focuses on power electronics, renewable energy systems, and electronic devices, with expertise in the field of Electronics and Photonics.
As Director of RISE, he leads the centre's efforts to strengthen research and innovation at BUET, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, build meaningful academia-industry partnerships, and facilitate the translation of research outcomes into impactful technological solutions.
